This blog features highly mature themes and potentially triggering content. lovecraftian themes
There's a lot of Lovecraft-related content here, and by that I mean the genre specifically, and the notion of cosmic horror involving godlike monsters. That said, HP Lovecraft was a racist and let's not forget it. I will never condone the racist nature of his writings; it was wrong then and it is still wrong.

The posts I make tagged as open are for mutuals only. If I have followed you, that means I would like to interact with you! If I do not get followed back in a week, I will unfollow and there's zero hard feelings. I also reserve the right to unfollow anyone that I'm mutuals with at any time. I tend to get overwhelmed easily so I will go through and unfollow (and soft block) people I haven't interacted with or are inactive after a certain amount of time. If you're a mutual that I've unfollowed and you still want to interact with me just let me know. I promise I don't bite.
ships and shipping
While my blog is highly shippy in nature, I do not go into threads with any intention of shipping. I like when a ship happens organically between characters. So if you ship it, let's discuss! If anything of a sexual nature is written (though unlikely), it will be under a read more and appropriately tagged. I request those I follow do the same or please make sure your NSFW tag is easily b-listed.
formatting requirements
I usually format my replies, but I don't expect nor require my partners to do the same. I do RP from mobile, so when things are tagged with my mobile tag, expect them to be in standard text until I get to the desktop website to format. Icons are also not a requirement from me; not everyone has or can use photoshop, never mind if they want to use it or not, and I understand that.
in regards to drama
I do not reblog nor do I encourage call out posts. I will respect others' choices on who they do or do not interact with. I am here to write and unwind from the stresses of my day-to-day life. If RPing is something you consider in need of your specialized policing, or the social capital of your peers matters more to you than your enjoyment for writing, I am not the rp partner for you. I'm just a clueless old man who sincerely doesn't intend to bother anyone. But that said, I would really appreciate it if something I've said or done has bothered you, please contact me and we can discuss everything maturely.

A drow elf that first visited Baldur's Gate as a child with his father, Zarek witnessed his father's murder on the streets of the Lower City, and lived on the Outer City streets as an orphan. Zarek is just as resourceful and cunning as he is selfless and idealistic. Apprentice to one of the finest blood hunters of the Storm Coast, Zarek is now at a point of hunting evil that he's making a name for himself beyond his mentor's shadow.
Tenacious and intelligent, Liara won the Marked Man-- originally a run-down forge called the Last Wheel-- in a card game and turned the establishment into the finest tattoo parlor in Baldur's Gate. As one of the finest artificers in the lower city, liara specializes in creating devices that aid in her inkcraft, imbuing said inventions with magic so that the tattoos she creates provide certain bonuses for those who wear them.

Known all throughout Thedas as the Commander of the Inquisition forces, Cullen Rutherford began his military career as a knight of the Templar Order, working diligently in the Ferelden Circle tower right before the fifth blight. While the blight and mage rebellion have done little to make life easy for Cullen, the Lion of Skyhold works tirelessly for the betterment of Thedas, both mage and non-mage alike.
